There are few things in this life I enjoy more than a meal with friends. Tonight we celebrated a friend's 40th birthday by surprising him at one of his favorite restaurants. There were about 30 people there in a private room his wife had arranged. It was a beautiful night filled with laughter and good food.
It is a lovely thing to sit around a table surrounded by people who have known you longer than a decade (in some cases almost TWO decades).
It certainly was a wonderful way to ring in a decade for a friend.
