Over the years, my children have come up with some pretty funny ideas on how to make a little extra cash. Our house has been a library, a hotel and a restaurant. Garrett's room has had many activities in it, that you are welcome to play–for a price. He even tried to charge me to use the staircase once.
But today's scheme takes the cake.
My children wanted to walk around the neighborhood, going door to door, with this jar:
Sorry it's not the best quality: allow me to translate. It says "Tips. We are very poor. Send money. Love, Garrett, Harper, and Shope" (
Sophie is the neighbor).
The only success I could find in this whole thing was that they came to get me because they knew they couldn't go door to door alone.
Awesome.
